PUE Academy becomes the Palo Alto Networks Regional Cybersecurity Academy exclusive partner in Spain
PUE Academy today unveiled an agreement signed with Palo Alto Networks, the global cybersecurity leader, to become its exclusive Cybersecurity Academy partner in Spain. The agreement signed by both organizations recognizes PUE as the sole regional partner in Spain to set up and manage Palo Alto Networks’ cybersecurity education initiative across the country.
Palo Alto Networks Cybersecurity Academy provides academic institutions with active learning plans including access to training, (virtual) labs and certification in the most cutting edge cybersecurity solutions. More than 1,000 institutions across 72 countries are already part of the Cybersecurity Academy programme, equipping their students with the necessary cybersecurity knowledge and skills to find success in a constantly changing and rapidly evolving sector.
As part of the agreement, PUE Academy will manage the Palo Alto Networks Cybersecurity Academy programme in Spain with an action plan that includes teacher training and periodic events to get to know the initiative, helping to prepare future generations of trained professionals in this highly requested field.
With this agreement, PUE Academy and Palo Alto Networks undertake the mission to promote and provide official cybersecurity training and certification within the context of growing cybersecurity threats and a lack of qualified professionals: The (ISC)² Cybersecurity Workforce Study reflects a severe shortage of these experts. They estimate 2.8 million qualified cybersecurity professionals worldwide, while in order to defend organizations correctly there is a need for 4.07 million more.

Educational centres that are interested in becoming official Palo Alto Networks Cybersecurity Academy centres will have at their disposal the PUE Academy team aiding them in the entire process, with full service from the outset, including continuous advice and support. The PUE Academy team can support with:
- Programme setup and management
- Development support and advice
- Teacher training
- Certification exam discounts
- Access to teaching resources included in the programme, such as access to the e-learning platform with official training courses

The teaching resources that Palo Alto Networks Cybersecurity Academy offers to educational centres includes: cybersecurity curricula for beginner, intermediate and advanced online students through Moodle, Palo Alto Networks’ free virtual firewall VM-50 licenses, discounts on hardware and certification, amongst many other benefits.
